Changing Your Subject

Sometimes it takes a few semesters to notice; sometimes it's obvious after a few weeks: "This is not how I imagined my studies would be." If it's your major, you can look for alternatives. Maybe changing your location or the type of university would help? Or, after a few semesters, perhaps you're asking questions about what your career goal should be?

Opportunities to make a change

Switching majors

I want to change my major and I know exactly what I want to study. How do I do this? What do I need to consider when applying?

Credit recognition

I would like to change majors and find out which credits from my previous studies will be recognized. How and where do I apply for transfer credit? Can I enter a higher semester right away?

Changing universities

I really like my major, but there are just too many students. The university is too big for me. I miss the hands-on aspect of the subject - there's too much theory. I don't feel at home in Frankfurt, I want to be closer to my friends/family.

Career goals

I'm not quite sure what I'll be able to do with my major later on. Everyone tells me that I will never get a job in this field. I enjoy my studies, but what should my career goal be?

Counseling for those with study doubts

All I know is that I want to do something else. I just don't know what. I have several ideas, but how do I decide which is the right one?
