Counselling in Individual Cases

The Anti-Discrimination Office's counselling and consulting services are available to all university members and affiliates who have experienced discrimination in the university context or witnessed discriminatory actions, incidents or structures.

In a safe and confidential setting, we explore together potential strategies for dealing with the specific situation or experience.

Further steps are only taken with the consent of the person seeking advice.

Possible steps

  • Reporting and documentation of the incident
  • Joint development of strategies for dealing with the experience and alternative courses of action
  • Contacting the person or entity who caused the incident
  • Arranging mediation talks
  • Advice on the internal complaints procedure in line with the Anti-Discrimination Directive
  • Support during the complaints procedure
  • Assisted referral to other counselling services
