Students, staff and other university members and affiliates affected by discrimination
Supporters and allies of persons affected by discrimination
Witnesses of discrimination and violence
Teaching staff, advisors and other confidants who wish to receive more information on (anti-)discrimination
The Anti-Discrimination Office’s main tasks include:
Initial consultation
Individual and group counselling
Support to find other qualified counselling and self-help organisations
Protection against and prevention of discrimination
Information and educational work on discrimination
Awareness raising and suggestions for institutional and structural changes
Cooperation with other counselling services and contact points
Counselling principles:
Counselling is always confidential.
Counselling focuses on the perspectives, experiences and needs of the persons affected. Further steps are only taken with the consent of the person seeking advice.
Counselling is partial; together we explore potential strategies for dealing with the specific situation or experience.
Referral to other qualified counselling services is arranged if there is a request for more extensive and long-term support (for example psychological counselling or empowerment).
