ASA-Program

The ASA program offers internships in Africa, Asia, Latin America and South-East Europe in the field of development policy for young people, who want to understand global contexts, ask critical questions and advocate for a just world. Participants take part in seminars lasting several days in Germany as well as in a three-month project phase in one of the above named areas. ASA is a program developed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in Germany.

ASA participants should be between 21 and 35 years old.

Application process:

The application period starts every year at November 20th and ends at January 10th.

Scholarship regulations:

  • partial scholarship (amount depending on the respective country)
  • three-month stay abroad, seminars before and after the internship abroad (preparation and follow-up)
