The FamilyPlus Card contributes to removing bureaucratic hurdles, making everyday life at university a little bit easier. In addition to simplified proof of parenthood, the card is also a route to inexpensive meals for children.

Since 2014, the FamilyPlus Card counts as official proof of parenthood for students and enrolled doctoral candidates at Goethe University Frankfurt. You can therefore present it as proof to lecturers, examination offices and other contact points at the university in order to avail yourself of the provisions in the respective study and examination regulations. This simplifies bureaucratic procedures, as there is no need to take birth certificates or other official documents with you and present them every time.  

Children's meals in the cafeterias  

What's more, with the FamilyPlus Card, you can purchase a children's meal in the cafeterias run by Studierendenwerk Frankfurt am Main (Frankfurt Student Services) for just €1. This offer applies for all main courses on the menu (except at counters with special dishes such as pasta, pizza and grilled food). Simply ask for a children's meal at the respective food counter and show your card at the cash desk.  

Reduced family entrance tickets at the EXPERIMINTA ScienceCenter

Holders of the FamilyPlus Card are entitled to a family ticket for €10 instead of the regular price of €21 at the interactive  EXPERIMINTA ScienceCenter. This means that students with one child over 4 years of age already save €2 compared to buying single tickets. A family card is valid for two adults and three children.

The FamilyPlus Card is automatically valid until the youngest child indicated on it is 10 years of age. You do not need to extend it. It is only valid in conjunction with a valid GoetheCard.  

Applying for a card

You can apply for a card at the Student Registration Office. For this you only need to present your child's birth certificate.
