Prof. Spiecker’s Chair hosts the Research Institute „Environmental Law“ (FSUR) at Goethe-University Frankfurt. The Research Institute bundles the faculty’s activities in national, European and international Environmental Law. Central areas of research are Climate Law and sustainability, the protection of the environment in armed conflicts, environment protection in enterprises as well as Energy Law (smart metering/smart grid).
