Yes. All outgoing
Erasmus+ students must submit a Learning Agreement.
The Learning
Agreement must be signed by three parties: the student, our Erasmus+
Coordinator Dr Anke Reinhold at International Relations at the Faculty of
Social Sciences and the Erasmus+ Coordinator of the partner university. As a
rule, scans of the signed Learning Agreement submitted by email are sufficient.
Please make sure that you submit the Learning Agreement with the full contact
details of all the parties involved, as this makes processing much easier (which may take 3 - 5 working days).
In Table A, you
enter those courses from the partner university's course catalogue that you
would like to attend during your mobility. You can also enter language courses
or special Erasmus+ courses there too – provided that the partner university
awards ECTS credit points for them. In Table B, you enter the modules of your
degree programme at the Faculty of Social Sciences for which you would like the
courses recognised from Table A that you will attend abroad.
Yes. You can make
changes to the Learning Agreement via the document Changes to the
Original Learning Agreement, which you can find in your Mobility-Online participant
account. Please ensure that you
upload this document – signed by all three parties – in Mobility-Online again
at the latest five weeks after the start of your mobility.
No. You do not
have to apply for prior recognition. However, we strongly recommend that you do because in this way you can be
sure that your learning outcomes achieved abroad will be recognised. It will
also speed up the recognition of your learning outcomes by the Examination
Office after the end of your mobility.
For Table A, there
is an indicative value of 30 ECTS credit points, which you should strictly
adhere to. Under certain circumstances, it is possible to earn less than 15
ECTS credit points per semester. This is the case, for example, if you are
already at a very advanced stage in your studies. You can apply for an
exception via your Mobility-Online
participant account and have it
confirmed by our Erasmus+ Coordinator Dr Anke Reinhold at the International
Relations office. Please submit the relevant documents, such as a Transcript of
Records confirming your study status, directly with your application.
You are under no
obligation to achieve any learning outcomes abroad. Nevertheless, we recommend
that you attend courses abroad and complete them successfully, as learning
outcomes will be listed in your Transcript of Records. This can have a positive
impact on your chances when applying e.g. for internships. In addition, the
Transcript of Records can also be regarded as an additional qualification
within your studies. Some of our partner universities insist on a minimum
number of ECTS credit points, please enquire at the partner university.
The Learning
Agreement is an agreement between you, the partner university and Goethe
University Frankfurt on the learning outcomes to be achieved. Its purpose is
also to ensure that your learning outcomes achieved abroad are recognised.
Nevertheless, it might happen – for various reasons (e.g. if a course is
cancelled, etc.) – that you are unable to keep to your Learning Agreement. You
can then make changes to it via the document Changes to the Original
Learning Agreement, which you can find in your Mobility-Online participant account. Please ensure that you upload this document – signed by all three parties
– in Mobility-Online again at the latest five weeks after the start of your
mobility.
Choose other
courses offered by the partner university and enter these changes in the
document Changes to the Original Learning Agreement, which you can
find in your Mobility-Online
participant account. Please ensure
that you upload this document – signed by all three parties – in
Mobility-Online again at the latest five weeks after the start of your
mobility.
