Department of Teaching and Quality Assurance

The Department of Teaching and Quality Assurance monitors the quality of learning opportunities at Goethe University and ensures the development of teaching and studies in accordance with the highest quality standards. To implement the University's mission statement on teaching and learning (Principles of Studies and Teaching and Mission Statement Digital Teaching), it works with the Vice President for Studies and Teaching, the academic faculties and the students of Goethe University. It funds innovation and oversees quality assurance procedures. This includes the supervision of the accreditation and reaccreditation of degree programs, the evaluation of study programs and innovative initiatives in teaching, as well as the collection of key data and statistics on studies and teaching. It seeks to support the systematic development of study programs and promote methodologically founded teaching innovation in dialogue with the faculties and staff of the University.
