One of
Goethe University's most important tasks is to promote a culture of
appreciation for excellent teaching. To make this appreciation visible, Goethe University -
together with the Foundation of the Frankfurter Sparkasse - has been awarding
the 1822 University Prize for Excellent Teaching for over 20 years. Three prizes respectively endowed with 15,000 euros, 10,000 euros and 5,000
euros are awarded.
Nominations for the 1822
University Prize for Excellent Teaching can be submitted by students from all
departments.
This year's recipients of the 1822 University Prize for Excellence in Teaching are dental surgeon PD Dr. Puria Parvini, coordinator of the Goethe Orientation Program in Natural and Life Sciences Dr. Bianca Bertulat, and Professor of Religious Pedagogy Prof. David Käbisch. The ceremony was moderated by two Goethe University students who took on the role of lecturer and gave a proseminar on "Introduction to Excellent Teaching at Goethe University." In addition, the local improv theater "Der Fuchs" performed an interactive exercise on excellent teaching.
