Partners at Goethe University


Students of the Goethe University are teaching free German classes for refugees on levels A1 to B1


The team offers help with difficulties in concentration, sleep disorders, sadness or mood fluctuations, for example through individual and group consultations or exchange about cultural differences.


Law students under the supervision of experienced professionals offer free advice to refugees and migrants in legal matters in the areas of migartion and social law.


The IST wants to help international students during their first steps at the university and in Frankfurt and to get in touch with other students. Therefore they offer a consultation hour and "Get together" meetings, which are supposed to give you useful information about the german culture, everyday life, the university etc.


The ISZ combines offers of the Goethe University in the areas German as a foreign language, foreign laguages and study preparations for international study applicants.


The International Career Service offers special workshops for international students, including lectures on subjects like scholarships, key aspects of professional life and job portfolio checks. Individual counselling for application documents occur Wednesday morning by appointment.

Externe Kooperationen


Beramí offers advice on topics like employment, education and job opportunities. It especially helps with the recognition of international school or job diplomas. Additionally, it offers additional qualifications.



The ZAB can issue a Statement of Comparability, which is an official document that describes a foreign higher education qualification, its professional and academic usage. The ZAB Statement of Comparability can facilitate access to the German labour market for holders of foreign higher education qualifications. It is a comparative assessment but not a recognition certificate.



The Welcome Center offers information about working in Hessen, getting academic qualifications or certifications recognized, German vocational training or continuing education, learning the German language, house hunting or finding a flat and much more.



The FRAP service center offers information on where and how to find employment opportunities, on apprenticeships und supports refugees in writing applications.



Kompass offers training and education for the unemployed, provides startup consultation to Frankfurt’s large migrant community and promotes entrepreneurship among seniors. The Startup Support accompanies potential startups through their entire lifecycle from idea inception, to startup and business stabilization and sustained existence in the market.



Codedoor prepares and educates refugees to become software developers by providing them with tutors, material and environment to learn efficiently. This education will support their sustainable integration into the new society and prepare them when they will be able to return home.



The Educational Counseling Garantiefonds Hochschule (GF-H) supports young immigrants in preparing for university studies in Germany. Together with those seeking advice, an individual education plan is developed and its implementation is supported. Core topics of the counseling are: Language acquisition (language levels and suitable language courses), evaluation of previous education acquired abroad, measures for acquiring or completing the university entrance qualification, courses of study offered in Germany, crediting of academic achievements from abroad, choice of course of study and application for studies, scholarships and funding opportunities. Scholarships are awarded, among other things, for German and English intensive courses as well as for attendance at the „Studienkolleg“.




The Walter Kolb Stiftung e.V. advises on all aspects of education. They offer advice in the areas of school, vocational and academic initial training as well as corresponding further training. In their centre for competence, refugees are advised on integration into the job market.
