My contributions to just war theory have been
two fold. In Cosmopolitan Justice, I
defended a cosmopolitan account of just cause in contrast to statist-aggression
based accounts. In subsequent papers, I have argued for a distinct set of moral
considerations about war, not captured by either Jus
ad Bellum, Jus
in Bello, or Jus
post Bellum. These are consideration about whether and how
to end a war, which I call Jus
ex Bello.
