Dr. Mirko K. Braack

Mirko K. Braack is a Post-Doc at the Frankfurt division of the Research Institute Social Cohesion. He has been working at the Projekt FRA_F_02 “Value Conflict, Labour Division, and Social Cohesion from a Gender Perspective" (PIs: Prof. Dr. Daniela Grunow und Prof. Sigrid Roßteutscher, PhD) since May 2021.

He studied political science and sociology in the bachelor and in the master sociology at the University of Rostock. In 2022 Mirko Braack finished his doctoral project in the field of Sociology at the University of Rostock with the thesis “Exogamy and participation in a migration context. Quantitative studies to exogamous and same-sex unions in Germany and Europe".

Mirko Braack is broadly interested in gender ideologies, family research and the relation between migrants and non-migrants as well as social boundaries and opportunities of participation. He has published for example in Genus and in Gender Issues.
