Vita & Research - Dipl.-Soz.Wiss. Jens Zimmermann

Since 2016, Jens Zimmermann is research associate at the Department for International Relations and Theories of Global Orders. He studied political science, sociology and history at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Afterwards he was doctoral stipendiary at the Rosa-Luxemburg-Foundation. In his promotion project he analysed how Anti-Nuclear-Power-Activists integrate their political engagement in their daily lifes and is interested in the consequences of different integration practices on individual moblizing and de-mobilizing processes.

He works at the BMBF-funded project „Protest und Erinnerung: Zum Bezug gegenwärtiger Proteste auf die langen 1960er Jahre in Ost-und Westdeutschland“ – the German partical project of the international ERA.Net RUS Plus Projektes „LIVINGMEMORIES “ (7th Frame Program by the EU).
