Short CV
Rudolf Kerschreiter is a Professor of Social, Organizational, and Economic Psychology and head of the corresponding research unit at Freie Universität Berlin (since 2011). Since 2016, he has also served as the Co-Coordinator of the Global Identity Leadership Development (GILD) project and, since 2018, as a Visiting Lecturer at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) Berlin, focusing on Executive Education.
After completing his studies and Ph.D. in Psychology at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Social and Economic Psychology unit at LMU Munich from 2003 to 2009. Between 2001 and 2007, he spent several months on research stays at Aston Business School, UK, and the University of Pittsburgh, USA. From 2009 to 2011 he served as Interim Associate Professor of Social Psychology at LMU Munich. His current research focuses on issues related to leadership and group processes, including identity leadership, leader-follower interaction, leadership development, social exclusion, social identity, and virtual teams.
