Students who choose to apply for the renowned and competitive MEAS master's programme come from a wide variety of academic backgrounds. Speaking for myself, already during my bachelor's studies in communication science and economics, I was enthusiastic about interdisciplinary research approaches and had spent a semester abroad at Fudan University in Shanghai.

Accordingly, the MEAS programme enabled me to design my two-year master's programme individually and set personal priorities in my academic development. A well-founded deepening of my Chinese language and history knowledge and an academic focus on management and law prepared me for the internship at the German diplomatic mission in southern China as part of the professional track, which offered me an excellent groundwork for my career entry into the public administration in Germany.

The MEAS programme teaches you academic openness and cultural diversity as well as the ability to always take different perspectives. When I look back now, the uniqueness of academic individualization as well as the great support by the faculty members and a truly international studying atmosphere would lead me again for the MEAS programme at the Goethe-University in Frankfurt am Main!
