Coronavirus pandemic: Information for employees and general information 

New regulations as of April 2 2022

In the following information for students and teachers you will find everything important about studying, teaching and examinations at the university in the 2022 summer semester. 

Please note that even under the new rules, we recommend the use of medical masks indoors at the University to all students! In addition, we recommend you to get vaccined. Vaccination appointments are offered at the Westend, Riedberg and Niederrad campuses. Further details and the online appointment portal can be found here (in German). 

The key points of the new regulations are:

  • The summer semester at Goethe University will be an attendance semester. Classroom-based courses will be the norm again.
  • The obligation for students and external persons to wear a mask in the buildings and at courses at Goethe University ceases to apply.

Goethe University offers Covid-19 vaccination appointments for all citizens at two locations, Westend and Sachsenhausen.
