While studying abroad, you will get to know different cultures and a different higher education system. You may take classes that you wouldn't be able to take at your home institution. And you will improve your language skills and meet people from all over the world. On top of that, you will enhance your CV as global experience will definitely increase your chances on the job market.

Mit Studienstipendien werden ein- bis zweisemestrige Studienaufenthalte auf Master-Niveau, die im August/September 2023 begonnen und in Vollzeit absolviert werden, unterstützt. 
Finanzierung der Lebenshaltungskosten und (eines Teils) der Studiengebühren in Höhe von insgesamt bis zu 34.500 US-Dollar für 9 Monate bzw. bis zu 15.300 US-Dollar für 4 Monate

Sie möchten an einer amerikanischen Spitzenhochschule Ihren Masterabschluss oder einen Forschungsaufenthalt absolvieren? Dann bewerben Sie sich auf die Programme ERP und McCloy. Mit beiden Programmen fördert die Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes Studien- und Forschungsaufenthalte an US-amerikanischen Spitzenuniversitäten.

Ziel beider Programme ist es, die transatlantische Verständigung zu stärken und hochqualifizierte Nachwuchskräfte, die eine Tätigkeit im öffentlichen Sektor anstreben, zu fördern und miteinander zu vernetzen.

Mit der Aufnahme in die Programme geht auch eine Aufnahme in die Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes einher.

McCloy-Programm (Studienstiftung)

Das McCloy Programm fördert Mastervorhaben an der Harvard Kennedy School. Bewerben können sich Absolventen aller Fächer. Neben den Lebenshaltungs- und Reisekosten können Studiengebühren in Höhe von mehr fast 120.000 USD übernommen werden.

ERP-Stipendienprogramm (Studienstiftung)

Das ERP-Stipendienprogramm unterstützt ein- bis zweijährige Studien- und Forschungsvorhaben an amerikanischen Spitzenuniversitäten USA-weit. Bewerben können sich Absolventen aller Fächer. Neben den Lebenshaltungs- und Reisekosten können Studiengebühren in Höhe von bis zu 50.000 USD übernommen werden.

Aufgrund der hohen zusätzlichen Kosten stehen die Chancen auf eine Ausbildungsförderung nach Bafög für einen Studien- oder Praktikumsaufenthalt im Ausland wesentlich höher als für eine Inlandsförderung.

You have to book your 20-minute appointment. If you need an in person appointment Wed or Thu, please email us. 

Appointments may be booked from 10 days in advance up to 18 hours before the appointment.

We are also available by phone during regular office hours (see below) unless we are in meetings or unavailable due to other reasons. If you don't reach us by phone, please send an email which we usually respond to within 3-4 work days.
