2. The following data are collected in the framework of the application procedure:
- Personal data (first and last name, date of birth, address, final school-leaving qualification, details of any disability (if applicable))
- Contact details (telephone number, cell phone number, fax number, email address)
- Data related to education and training (school, occupational training, undergraduate/doctoral/post-doctoral studies)
- Data related to previous career, training certificates and job references
- Details of other qualifications (e.g. language and computer skills)
- Application photo (if applicable)
3. Use and disclosure of personal data
The
personal data you provide are used exclusively to process your application for
the advertised post. Only persons involved in the application and appointment
procedure have access to these data. These persons are bound to secrecy.
4. Data storage and deletion
After
completion of the procedure (if a rejection has been sent), your application
documents will be destroyed or deleted after six months in compliance with data
protection regulations. Application documents will not be returned. Printed
documents will be destroyed in compliance with data protection regulations. In
the case of personal data relevant to the selection procedure, we are obliged
to document these for a longer period. In so doing, we comply with the
requirements of Section 35 of the Federal Data Protection Act.
5. Right to be informed, withdrawal of consent and right to object
You have
the right to be informed by Goethe University about:
- Which of your personal data are stored
- Their origin
- The recipients of your data or categories of recipients to whom your data have been disclosed
- Storage purpose
The collection and processing of personal data within the application procedure is conducted on the basis of Section 88 EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in connection with Section 23 of the Hessian Data Protection and Freedom of Information Act (HDSIG) as well as Sections 68 and 69 of the Hessian Higher Education Act (HessHG) in connection with the code of practice governing appointment procedures at Goethe University Frankfurt and the code of practice governing conversion to indefinite-term professorships with promotion in the framework of tenure-track procedures.
You have the right to object to the use of your data for the aforementioned purposes at any time and without giving reasons as well as to terminate the application procedure. Please address any requests in this regard to Goethe University's data protection officer:
