Since 2009 I have been the head of the department of differential psychology and psychological diagnostics at Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main.
My research relates to stress and emotions. In addition to fundamental research, I am also focused on the application-oriented implementation of results in the clinical and work-related sector (e.g. workplace health promotion, job satisfaction, motivation, job performance) while considering interindividual differences within the personality range.
I am a member of the Editorial board of the journal “Anxiety, Stress, and Coping” and serve as national representative, secretary, and treasurer for the Stress and Anxiety Research Society (STAR). Furthermore I am a scientific counselor at the “Süddeutsches Institut für empirische Sozialforschung” (SINE, München).
I accept assignments for psychological assessments and cooperate closely with various institutions conducting psychodiagnostic tests. I also use these contacts for the practical education of my students.
