Internet Access in the Guest Houses

Internet Access in the Guest HousesThe guest houses Frauenlobst. and Ditmarst. have W-LAN facilities conecting with the university's net. Available are the wireless nets FLUGHAFEN and FREIFLUG. You can find further information on technical requirements und usage on www.rz.uni-frankfurt.de/campusnetz/wlan.

The wireless network in Beethovenstraße is provided by Unityedia. The login details are consigned  in every apartment.

For the usage of FLUGHAFEN or FREIFLUG, you need a University account. Your hosting institute has to apply for that account. This is done online by that person (director, secretary) responsible for your hosting institute’s internal cost unit via https://kartenservice.uni-frankfurt.de/mitarbeitercard/login. Your data has to be entered online. Prior to first use, a registration (for the respective staff) is mandatory. Further information for your institute you will find here. You can visit the HRZ (Central Computing Center, located at Campus Westend, Containerbau Lübeckerstraße 3, ground floor on the left (HBM-Container) between Hörsaalzentrum and Exzellenzcluster Normative Ordnungen, Poelzig-Ensemble, EG, Raum 301 or at Campus Riedberg, Max-von-Laue-Straße 9, Biozentrum, S 121 Alte Bibliothek, Erdgeschoss Raum 0.36), hand in your printed application form and receive your account data immediately. Also, you can bring in your laptop in order to get help in setting up your Wireless connection. If you don’t need that, you can send your application via internal mail, and you will receive your data on the same way.
When connecting in the guest houses, insert your data directly for FLUGHAFEN, or open a browser when using FREIFLUG; the start page will ask for your data.
