Research Focus

In my research I focus on theories of structural injustice and responsibility, especially based on the work of Iris Marion Young, as well as on the fields of climate and intergenerational justice. In my dissertation I try to make both debates fruitful for each other by understanding the climate crisis as a structural injustice that requires the structural transformation of fossil energy production. In light of this, I am concerned with the differentiated responsibilities of individual and institutional actors. To consider the idea of structural transformation, another research focus is on feminist as well as critical (as well as feminist critical) theory. Furthermore, I am interested in the theoretical connections between (climate) activism or activist practice and conceptions of hope and trust or mistrust.
