What is a qualified statement?

In order to apply for an extension of your residence permit, you must periodically demonstrate to the immigration authorities that you are pursuing a regular course of study. To provide this proof (called a qualified statement), we ask you to submit various documents, including your transcripts. For more information, see the application form.

Note that it may take several days to process your application. If you have any questions, the processing time will be longer. Please contact us at least 2 weeks in advance of your appointment at the foreigners' registration office (Ausländerbehörde).
