Freemover

Applying as a Freemover

In order to apply as a Freemover guest student, you need an academic supervisor at Goethe University. Please contact well in advance one of our professors at the Institute of Sociology or the Institute of Political Science directly via e-mail and outline your request in a short and precise way.

Please note the following:

- If you are enrolled at one of Goethe University's partner universities, it is unfortunately not possible to apply as a freemover!

- We can only accept students who study an identical or similar degree program to those offered by our faculty. A list of study programs can be found here.

Once you have found an academic supervisor, please contact the Global Office, in order to receive the link to the Freemover online application form.

The application form needs to be signed by you, the Global  Office of your home university, as well as your academic supervisor at Goethe University. By signing the application form your academic supervisor also confirms that your language skills are appropriate for the course of study under his/her academic supervision. After signing the application form your academic supervisor might send it directly to the Global Office. For more information please follow this link.

Please keep in mind that only complete applications submitted within the application deadline can be accepted. The application procedure for the summer term starts in November. The application procedure for the winter term starts in May. Here you can find the deadlines.
