Vita

Caroline Fehl is Visiting Professor (50%) for International Institutions and Peace Processes for the academic year 2022/23. She is also a senior researcher at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF), Research Department International Security.

Caroline Fehl studied political science at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, Freie Universität Berlin and Columbia University, New York. In 2009, she graduated from the University of Oxford with a DPhil in International Relations. Before joining PRIF in 2012, she was a post-doctoral researcher at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt (Institute for Political Science and Cluster of Excellence “Normative Orders”) and an ESRC Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford.

Caroline Fehl’s research revolves around norms and institutions in the field of international security. She is particularly interested in hegemony, hierarchy and inequality in global governance as well as in linkages and interactions between different international norms and institutions.
