What is the next step after graduation?
What prospects and opportunities do I have?

The labour market of the 21st century is complex and diverse. A clear professional goal, initial practical experience, contacts in the working world and a convincing self-presentation in the application process are crucial for a successful career start.

An exchange with us gives you the opportunity to organise your thoughts, adopt new perspectives and develop strategies for your professional future. We listen and ask questions to help you find answers to your questions and find your professional path.

Whether at the beginning, in the middle or at the end of your studies

  • we discuss your interests, skills and experience and bring them together to create your personal profile
  • review the labour market to see which jobs or sectors match your profile
  • we help you find opportunities for gaining professional experience (internships, student asistant positions, trainee positions)
  • and we help you establish contacts in the working world.

You will also find support in our Future Skills training and other programmes: International Career Service Rein-Main

This counselling service is free of charge and confidential! Simply arrange a counselling appointment in the International Career Service Rhein-Main calendar and we will be happy to meet with you:

What is coaching and how does coaching help?

Based on dialogue and through the use of coaching methods such as the activation of resources using resource analysis and results-orientated self-reflection, coaching has positive effects on goal achievement and personal development. Coaching leads to improved self-efficacy, reduces stress and supports the development and application of strategies.

Testimonials

"I am writing to thank you for your kind support and Career Coaching. I am pleased to inform you that I have been offered a place on the Blue Book Traineeship in Brussels, which starts in Oktober. I am absolutely sure that your help, ideas and support a big part in me being able to take up this opportunity and I am very grateful to you."

Natascha Köster, MA Science and technology Studies 2019-2021, from Oktober 2022 Trainee at the EU Commission in Brussels.

"i just wanted to get back to you and let you know that I started working yesterday. Today was my second day of work.
I really like it there! The atmosphere is great and the appreciative way of dealing with each other makes the work even more pleasant.
I was lucky to have you as a guide! I could not have done it without you!
Thank you again for the help and the tireless tips you have given me!"

Megi Tsulukidze, BA Educational Sciences, since 01/2022 educational guide at Bildungswerk der Hessischen Wirtschaft e.V.

" The job market in Germany is particularly challenging , especially for foreign students who have to struggle with the language, a different working atmosphere and a different culture.
In addition, you have to consider that it is not enough to have a degree and good interview to get a job: The transition between studies and a job requires many skills and know-how that many students do not know or tahe for granted. In this respect, the Career Service not only helped me, but also freed me from my former naivety. Without the many events, workshops and consultations I took part in or had with the Career Service Center, I would never have known, or probably too late, what you need to start a career in Germany.
Every university in Germany should aspire to have an excellent Career Service Center, as it exists to this day at Goethe University Frankfurt.

" The support of Ms. Ulucan and my partner in the online job shadowing program was very helpful for my career orientation. All my questions asked were answered and i got a lot of useful information to my satisfaction. After the counselling I found my job and now I am working as an IT consultant in a Big 4 company. I would recommend Career Coaching and Job Shadowing to others."

Darya Biryukova, MA Business Administration 2018-2020, since 01/2022 Consultant in Cybersecurity at Ernst and Young

I am doing great! I got a job offer from Commerzbank to join their International Digital Development Program as a trainee for 18 months. I am so happy as i never dreamed i would be chosen for such a program, and it is exactly what I want to do.

I just want to also say a big thank you to you, for all of your support, coaching, advice, mentors, everything and for giving me hope that I could find a job in Germany - I would honestly not be where I am without your help. Again thank you.
