Advice for Students with Family Responsibilities

General guidance

Goethe University Frankfurt has a differentiated and integrated counselling and advice infrastructure for various aspects of studying. All counselling centres are also sensitised towards the interests of students with family responsibilities.

International students can find all basic information and the most important contact persons on the pages of Global Affairs Study and Teaching.

The Family Service at the Equal Opportunities Office provides initial guidance and helps you to find the right contact persons for your concerns.

The Central Academic Advisory Service deals with all questions to do with organisation of studies and study guidance.

The Academic Advisors in the faculties provide students with specific advice on detailed questions regarding programme contents and are their first port of call regarding maternity protection.

To clarify individual claims and questions with regard to financial aspects, we recommend going to the Advising Centre of Frankfurt StudentServices (Studierendenwerk Frankfurt am Main) in the lecture hall complex on Westend Campus, which is specialised in this topic.
