The Hessen State Ministry for Higher Education, Research and the Arts
awards the
Hessian University Prize for Excellence in
Teaching. The prize is awarded for outstanding and innovative achievements in
teaching, examination, supervision and mentoring at Hessian universities. It is
worth a total of 115,000 €.
The quality
of teaching is a crucial criterion of excellence for top universities and is
therefore a strategic objective of quality management at universities. The
award seeks to highlight the outstanding importance of teaching at universities
for Early Career Researchers. Furthermore it is designed to create an incentive
for the commitment to teaching and its promotion beyond one's own sphere of
activity.
Goethe University can submit a total of five
proposals. An internal committee decides on the selection of proposals.
