The staff council represents the interests of university employees with the exception of professors and student workers. As employee representation, its job is to advise employees extensively and competently, to represent their interests and to ensure that all employees are treated equally.

When should you contact the staff council?

Goethe University employees can contact the staff council for numerous issues, especially when they require assistance in the following matters:

• Difficulties with supervisors or colleagues
• Information and advice on all important problems and regulations having to do with employment (employment contract) at Goethe University.
• Questions on vacation and promotion
• First contact for workplace stress arising from mobbing, addiction problems, or dealing with the consequences of illness
