CavE-ICT-PISA - subproject Psychometrics and Adaptive Testing
Due to the relevance of computers in daily life, being able to competently deal with information and communication technologies (ICT) is a prerequisite for successful participation in modern knowledge-based societies and, thus, is an important goal in education. In the context of the co-operative project “Computer-Based, Adaptive, and Behavior-Related Assessment of Information and Communication Technology-Related Competencies (ICT skills) in PISA” (CavE-ICT-PISA), a computer-based instrument was developed to measure the ICT skills of 15-year-old students.
The subproject, conducted at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, was responsible for the statistical analyses, simulations studies, and psychometric scaling of the data gathered and was also involved in the item development part of the item writing team.
