Service Point for Refugee Students
The Goethe-University (GU) has initiated various guidance offers for international students, which provide further support for the progression of their studies and eventual entrance into the professional world. Since the summer of 2015, the offers have been expanded for refugees with an emphasis on the preparation for studies (especially the Academic Welcome Program).
In order to assist students with a refugee background to the successful completion of their studies and promote their transition into the professional world, the Goethe University established a new program in April 2017, which consists of two interconnected projects of the International office and the International Career Service. The Service Point for Refugee Students in the International Office serves as a first port of call for students with a refugee background for all matters relating to their studies at the GU.
