The Academic Welcome Program
for highly qualified refugees (AWP)
offers e.g. German language courses from level B1 to C1, preparatory courses as well as counseling and social services in order to prepare refugees for their studies. The Service Point for Refugee Students supports refugees during their studies.
  The Goethe Welcome Centre (GWC) offers support and advice on all non-academic topics like accomodation, research funding options, social integration etc.

Additional Offers at Goethe-University (sponsored by the DAAD):

Start into German: Students of the Goethe University offer German courses for refugees on levels A1, A2, and B1 free of charge and are currently active at 7 locations in Frankfurt. Intensive courses and open courses are offered regularly.

Goethe-Uni Law Clinic: Law students offer free legal advice on immigration and social law and answer questions about residence in Germany or help with the application for social benefits.

Psychological Counseling for Refugees at the Goethe University Center for Psychotherapy: Offers include individual and group counseling, discussion of cultural differences, help with dealing with difficulties and information on treatment options. If required, those seeking help can be referred to other facilities.
