Max Jansen is a research fellow at the Chair for Sociology with a Focus on Empirical Educational Research. Since February 2022 he supports the research project "The Role of Internalized Efficacy Beliefs for Participation in Education and Political Life" led by Prof.in Dr.in Birgit Becker and Prof.in Sigrid Roßteutscher, Ph.D.

Previously, Max Jansen completed a Master's degree in International Studies / Peace and Conflict Studies (M.A.) and Gender Studies (interdisciplinary certificate program) at Goethe University Frankfurt, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (B.Sc.) at the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences, University of Cologne. Max Jansen spent study and research stays at the American University of Beirut (Lebanon), Ben-Gurion-University of the Negev - Be'er Scheva (Israel), and Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary).
