Applicants for the AWP will primarily be selected on the basis of their high-school grades (HZB-Noten), if applicable university grades and their German level as well as generl study qualification/motivation. Preference is given to people who have not yet studied or who do not yet have a professional degree in order to enable them to pursue higher education.
Persons with a master's degree or higher are only accepted in exceptional cases and with convincing reasons.
If there are considerably more applicants than available places, the results in the TestAS examination for foreign university applicants will also be considered. This test is available in German and English and is offered at different test centers.
