Membership

PhD students who wish to participate in the Center activities, have to meet the following criteria:

a) PhD students who do not participate in structured doctoral education (such as a research training group - Graduiertenkolleg):

• Short presentation (ca. 10 minutes) in English about the PhD project or the project of the Diplom-/Master thesis (if start of the PhD project is less than 3 months)
• Subsequent discussion
• Attendees: 3 members of the FIRST-faculty (in addition also the Supervisor, if applicable)
• Main PhD supervisor has to be a member of the FIRST-faculty

• Presentations for admission to the Center should take place for several applicants
• Presentations are expected to take place at the Campus Riedberg or the Campus Niederrad/University Teaching Hospital (depending on the participants)

b) PhD students who are members of structured doctoral education programs:

• Application centrally for the program to the board of Directors of the Center
