The seminar will take place in two sessions on Thursday/Friday 28./29 June and on Thursday/Friday 5./6. July at Campus Bockenheim, AfE Tower, room 2701 from 9-13 and 14-16 hours (st).

Topics will include:

- the legislative and institutional developments since 2001, including key issues such as 'Lamfalussy and financial integration', and 'DeLarosiere and financial crisis'.
- we will also have a look at the current stage of financial services politics looking at the very detail of one or two dossiers currently discussed.

Students will be asked to prepare a short ppt presentation to be held on English on one of the topics we will discuss. It should focus on the very key issues and not exceed 15 min. speaking time. Topics of the presentations will be send out one week prior to the seminar.

The purpose of this seminar is to provide you with the necessary understanding of how policy making in Brussels takes place. It might also be helpful for those candidates who consider or plan to look for job opportunities in Brussels or the European Institutions, or who want to intensify their research in 'Brussels' topics.

Please let me know if you have any specific topic you want to touch upon.
