Vita
Andreas Damelang is visiting professor of Sociology within the area of social stratification and social policy at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main during the winter of 2021/22 and summer of 2022. During this time, he is on leave from his position as senior lecturer at Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg. His research interests include primarily ethnic inequality and gender inequality in the labor market, digitalization and the labor market, occupational labor markets, and quantitative-empirical, especially causal-analytical research methods. He has published his research in Social Forces, European Sociological Review, Social Science Research, Work, Employment and Society, Acta Sociologica, European Societies, Kölner Zeitschrift für Soziologie und Sozialpsychologie, and Zeitschrift für Soziologie, among others. Awards for his research achievements include the Hermann Gutmann Prize.
