Prof. Dr. Pahlow

Louis Pahlow is professor of modern legal history, private law and intellectual property law at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. He studied law and modern history at the Universities of Giessen, Bayreuth and Munich (1990 to 1997), obtained his Dr. iur. (s.c.l.) at the University of Giessen (1998). After his second state examination (2000), he practiced law in a Munich law firm specializing in competition and intellectual property law. From 2000 to 2005 he worked as a research assistant at the University of Bayreuth, where he was awarded the qualification of university lecturer (Habilitation) in 2005. He hold the chairs for intellectual property and competition law at the University of Mannheim (2007 to 2009), for intellectual property and legal history at Saarland University (2009 to 2012).
