Student Advisory Service for students of the Bachelor and Masters Psychology programmes

Tasks and services

The Student Advisory Service for the Bachelor and Masters programmes in Psychology at the Institute of Psychology helps students enrolled in these programmes at Goethe University Frankfurt with all their questions regarding how to organize their studies and studying in general. This includes:

  • Studying and general organization
  • Programme structure and exam regulations
  • Examinations
  • Planning personal areas of specialization (e.g. required elective modules, advanced modules, major and minor, non-Psychology minor, peer teaching, practical training, final thesis)
  • Advanced modules (Applied Psychology; Modules PsyBSc 17, 18)
  • Work-related internship
  • Bachelor and Masters thesis (e.g. choosing a theme, organization etc.)
  • Advice on other study-related topics

To arrange either a personal appointment in our office or a telephone appointment please send us an email. You are also welcome to drop by during our office hours (without arranging an appointment beforehand).

We recommend that you consult our Student Advisory Service in particular at the following times:

  • At the start of your studies should you have any questions or something be unclear
  • Towards the end of your second year of study
  • Before and after a semester or year abroad
  • When changing university
  • If you have any difficulties or problems with your studies
