DAAD

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers a wide range of scholarships for study-related internships or studies abroad, doctoral fellowships and various other special programs.

The DAAD scholarship database presents detailed information on the respective scholarships and their requirements (documents etc.).

Who can apply for DAAD scholarships?

DAAD scholarship apply to students from German universities who are enrolled in a regular study program – including student who do not possess a German citizenship. However, scholarships for stays in the respective home country are generally not possible. 

Please note that the application deadlines may lie up to 14 months before the beginning of the stay abroad. Please check about requirements and deadlines in time.

Applications need to be submitted online and directly to the DAAD. The Study and Internship Abroad Team offers consultation hours and general support for all DAAD-scholarship programs and the application processes.
