Writing Fellow Programm

Writing Fellows are peer tutors at the Writing Center who are trained in writing pedagogy, and experienced writers themselves. They are embedded in writing intensive seminars, and they assist lecturers in introducing students to scholarly writing. Writing Fellows offer written feedback to students’ texts twice over the course of a semester, a process that encourages and facilitates habits of revision. Writing Fellows also meet with students individually in writing consultations at least once during the semester.

In order to cooperate with a Writing Fellow, please participate in the workshop “Teaching with Writing Fellows” or contact Dr. Nora Hoffmann directly via email (n.hoffmann[at]em.uni-frankfurt.de).

History

In 2014, the Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft rewarded our Writing Fellow Program with an academic reward.

In 2015, Dr. Stephanie Dreyfürst was invited to participate in a year-long academic think-tank (Bündnis Lehre) and work on transferring the program to other academic institutions (Alfred Toepfer Foundation F.V.S).
