SFB 902

Dear prospective candidate for our Master scholarships.

Before you take a closer look at the website of the research centre, we would like to give you some basic information about it.

Here is a short profile for your convenience:
SFB 902 investigates the role of RNA in the regulation of cellular processes involving transcription, translation, RNA editing, transport and decay. Besides natural systems, also new RNA regulation elements are developed. The SFB combines groups with synthetic and theoretical background in Chemistry, spectroscopic groups (NMR, EPR, FT-IR, single molecule fluorescence), groups with expertise in structural biology (NMR, X-ray, Cryo-EM, Cryo-tomography) with groups that investigate the role of RNAs in neuronal cells and in cardiovascular diseases. The SFB has a very vivid exchange culture for master students and PhD students in the biweekly meeting RNA club. English is our conversation.
