Students can study and work here in groups or on their own. During the lecture period, tutors offer supervision for the lectures in the first three semesters.
Since the 2009/2010 winter semester, mathematics courses enjoy the support of the Mathematics eLearning Team, which provides special services such as recording of lectures, tutorials, explanatory videos and mind maps of lecture topics.
The Frankfurt MathFinance Institute (FMFI) is an interdisciplinary facility of the Institute of Mathematics and the Institute of Finance at Goethe University. Its research focus is financial risk management based on advanced mathematical methods from stochastic calculus, numerical mathematics and related fields.
The library is a branch of the Natural Science Library. It is responsible for supplying literature for the Institute of Mathematics and the Instiute of Didactics of Mathematics and Computer Science and has a vast collection of textbooks.
For mathematics in Frankfurt there is a network of Unix workstations. A Data Processing Officer is in charge of their operation. He and other staff help with purchasing IT equipment and how to use it, as well as with any problems which might occur.
