During winter term I regularly teach the following courses:

Foundations of Psychology: Individual Differences, advanced  – Theories of Personality (PsyBSc Modul 9):

In this seminar theories of personality will be presented and their major concepts will be discussed based on original papers. The concept of personality will be viewed from different ankles and differences in the paradigms will be elaborated. Aims of the course are the training of research techniques and the elaboration and analysis of primarily English written scientific papers. Further, students will be trained in presentation techniques and scientific discussions.

Principles of Psychological Assessment (PsyBSc Modul 11, Psychological Testing):

In this seminar students learn how to construct a psychological test based on classical test theory. In small groups the studenst develop a test in order to measure a construct of their choice.

Psychological Assessment – Advanced I (Applied Assessment; PsyMSc2)

Psychological assessment strategies will be taught for various applied settings (forensic, clinical, educational, and organizational). Based on case reports assessment strategies will be demonstrated and discussed.


During summer term I regularly teach the following courses:

Individual Differences (Part II, PsyBSc Modul 6):

In this seminar selected topics related to individual differences will be discussed in-depth. Aim of the course is teach theories and methods within the research area of individual differences.

Psychological Assessment –Advanced II (report writing, PsyMSc Modul 2)

Students will learn about the principles and the process of writing psychological reports. They will receive descriptions and data from clinical educational, organizational and forensic cases. To these cases they will write psychological reports firstly in groups later individual. Students will learn how to operationalize problems, how to apply psychological methods, how to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data, how to find answers to psychological problems, and how to document all of this in a psychological report.
