Recent Projects and Research Interests:

Insect hearing
In this project I investigate together with Manfred Kössl the signal transduction in a high frequency hearing insect, the bushcricket Mecopoda elongata. With Laser-Doppler-Vibrometer measurements and physiological records we study the mechano-electrical transduction in the hearing organ, called Crista acustica.

Tinnitus

In this project I investigate together with Bernhard Gaese and Manfred Kössl the startle reflex response in gerbils. The aim of the project is the identification of gerbils with induced tinnitus.
