It is not easy to find an apartment or a room at little cost in Frankfurt . If you apply for a place in student housing you will have to reckon with a considerable waiting period. When you have got a room in a students residence, your tenancy can not be extended beyond 5 years.

Ride Sharing

If you don’t have a car, you can get a lift within Germany, or to the big cities of Europe from private drivers. Arrangements can be made through an agency for arranged lifts (Mitfahrzentralen).
Any costs that may arise including the agency fee and your share of petrol money for the driver will probably be lower than the train fare.
