DSH: German Language Proficiency Test for Higher Education
The DSH consists of a written and an oral part. The written test assesses your language skills in listening, reading, writing, and in particular in understanding and working on scientific texts.
The DSH is set according to the national regulations for DSH-exams (DSH-Rahmenordnung).
The DSH takes place at Goethe University itsself, usually a few weeks before the beginning of the new semester.
The DSH-level required for all study programs at Goethe University is DSH 2, a score of at least 67% in both the written and the oral exam.
Goethe University offers German language courses to prepeare for the DSH.
The DSH may be repeated; DSH-fees amount to 105 € for participants of preparatory courses at Goethe University, 120 € for external candidates.
The fee for the preparatory course is 655 €.
