Curriculum Vitae


Nicole Deitelhoff has held the chair for International Relations and Theories of Global Order since 2009 and leads a research group treating “Contested Normativity: Norm Conflicts in Global Governance“ at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF). Before coming to Frankfurt she held positions at the University Bremen and Technical University of Darmstadt and was a Visiting Professor at Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Her research focuses on international institutions and norms, the foundations of political rule and its legitimation beyond the national state, and forms of international resistance, opposition, and dissidence. She is a Principal Investigator and member of the board of directors of the Cluster of Excellence: The Formation of Normative Orders and she coordinates the International Graduate program (IGP) of the Cluster.
