Curriculum Vitae - Philipp Offermann, M.A.

Philipp Offermann has worked within the chair for International Organizations since May of 2010. His focus has been on the research project “Transformation of Security Culture”. There he is responsible for the project website, www.sicherheitskultur.org, and researches the cultural turn in IR theories. From 2008-2010 he worked as a visual anthropologist in the research cluster “Religion and Politics” at the University ofMuenster. In Muenster he was trained in Political Science, Social Sciences and Anthropology, graduating in 2008 with a thesis on “State sovereignty and the legitimate use of force”. Philipp Offermann has taught courses in IR as well as in Visual Anthropology and has also worked as a domain and web administrator and a freelance media trainer.
